Nutfield and Brighton on coal run
Nutfield, together with the Narrow Boat Trust’s butty Brighton, loaded 30 tons of coal above Buckby Top Lock on Wednesday. The boats are currently on their way south down the Oxford Canal, heading first of all for Reading and Newbury on the K&A, before continuing down the Thames to the River Wey and eventually to Brentford. The boats are due to return to Braunston at the end of October and a report and pictures of the coal run will be included in the next newsletter.
