Easter Weekend
This is just a reminder that our first big activity of the year is happening at Braunston over the Easter Weekend, from Friday 7th to Monday 10th April.
Two things will be going on simultaneously:
1. Raymond will be in the dry dock, where the principal work will include removing the side cloths (in preparation for the new gunwales in June) and painting the gunwales, blacking the hull, repairing any woodwork not repaired last year, restoring the paintwork over last year’s repairs, and graining and varnishing the cabin top and sides.
2. Our sales stall will be set up adjacent to the roving bridge over the four days, weather permitting.
If you are able to lend a hand with either of these activities, on one or more of the days, or even for part of a day, we’d love to see you. The days will be roughly from 9.30 until about 5pm but our schedule isn’t rigid, we are all volunteers after all.
I appreciate that some of you have already indicated whether you can or can’t attend, but if we haven’t yet communicated on this, and you may be able help, please let me know when you can come and which activity you’re able to help with – but if you turn up unannounced, we’ll be just as pleased to see you!
